The film follows the story of Taylor, a 14-year-old Korean-American adoptee, who embarks on a journey of self-discovery when a Korean family unexpectedly moves in next door, leading her to uncover her roots and the whereabouts of her birth family.

Director and writer Christina YR Lim draws from her own experiences growing up in an interracial family in the American suburbs, infusing the film with authenticity and emotional depth. Lim shares,”This film is a passion project inspired by my own upbringing of being raised by a stepparent while being estranged from my family and heritage in Korea. It explores the delicate balance of identity, family, and belonging.”
