“Love Without Walls” Makes US Debut with Buffalo 8 Distribution, Now Available on Demand
[LOS ANGELES MARCH 22, 2024] – Following its successful festival run and theatrical release in the UK, “Love Without Walls” invites US viewers into its poignant narrative, exploring themes of love, resilience, and the human spirit. The film is now available On Demand on Prime Video.
In 2023, “Love Without Walls” had its world premiere at the Manchester International Film Festival where it won Best UK Feature. The film also won Best UK Feature at the London Independent Film Festival and won Best Independent Film at the National Film Awards UK, where they were also nominated for Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay, and Best British Film.
“Love Without Walls” follows an aspiring musician and his partner who, unable to pay their London rent, find themselves living on the streets. Though frustrated, their good humor and positivity land them odd jobs and a temporary shelter. The film stars Niall McNamee (The Foreigner), Shana Swash (Eastenders, My Feral Heart), Paul Barber (Only Fools and Horses, The Full Monty), Adam Deacon (Adulthood, Kidulthood, Anuvahood, 4321, Sumotherhood, The Bromley Boys) and Amy Molloy (Animals, Call the Midwife).
Directed by Jane Gull, “Love Without Walls” presents a deeply emotional life journey of Paul, an inspiring singer-songwriter trying to make a living off gigs, and Sophie, an amateur photographer who also manages Paul’s career. Together, they embark on a transformative journey of love and self-discovery, ultimately finding hope in the midst of adversity. This is Gull’s second feature film, following the release of “My Feral Heart” in 2016 which received three Bifa nominations.
The film is produced by Karen Newman for Hidden Door Productions; Newman previously produced 2017 Edinburgh International Film Festival audience award winner Just Charlie. 2022 Screen Star of Tomorrow Susanne Salavati is cinematographer on “Love Without Walls”; while McNamee, who is also a singer-songwriter, provided a soundtrack of original music.
